Prescott

We spent the weekend with Grandma Elephant and Papa Tom in Prescott, AZ.
It was so much fun!
We loved the downtown area with whiskey row and all of it's historical taverns.
The huge grassy park surrounding the old courthouse was truly beautiful and the weather was great.

Dinner at the Gurly Street Grill

Dipping candles at the Candle store. That was a lot of fun for the kids!

Lunch at the popular Bill's Pizza... soooo good

Kayla's life plan- I love it!

Kayla: When I grow up I'm going to go to college, get a job, get my money,
buy my house and then buy my husband.

4th of July

We spent the 4th across the street at our good friends' house.
What a great time and further proof that our families were destined to meet and get to know one another.
The kids had so much fun catching bugs, doing gymnastics and having a dance-off with Tim. :)
We had yummy food and lots of laughter. After dinner we all headed over to a local high school to watch the fireworks and they were pretty fantastic.

Newport treats

We always love when Grandma visits Newport RI. She really enjoys being there and we can always depend on Taffy and Black Dog clothes when she returns!
Papa and Grandma came over Friday night to meet JuneBug and to bring the kids their treats. What a great time we had! The kids love their black dog pj bottoms.

JuneBug moments

Some cute little pix we've gotten of JuneBug over the past few days.
My favorite moment was when we couldn't find the kitty and found her in Collin's room, with her paw on his knee just watching him flip though his book.
Also thrown in is a Kayla/Abby picture... just because it is so darn cute. :)

Lucy and JuneBug

Lucy and JuneBug have become best friends. This relationship is interesting to watch because both desperately want to play with one another, but both are "speaking in different languages"
Just today I think I've finally noticed them integrating both of their play styles in to a tackle/swat/roll game.
These are clips from the past two weeks. Fun stuff. :)
Be sure to scroll down and pause the blog music before you watch the video. :)

The Gaslight theater

Well Tim had an itch to get out of the house on Sunday so we headed on down to Tuscon Arizona. Tim found a place called The Gaslight Theater and they were supposed to be featuring a magician. We hurried to get there in time only to find that Tim had the date wrong... the parking lot was empty.
You can imagine how disappointed the kids were.
But the box office was open and as fate often has it, we found a play showing that very afternoon. And the theme... superheros!! "The Freedom League of America".
The kids were thrilled and even more so upon finding out that we were supposed to boo the bad guys and cheer the good guys (and gals).
So we headed over to Tim's favorite restaurant, Mama Leones and had a delicious lunch.
Then we spent an hour at Toys R' Us playing with about everything there.
When we arrived back at the theater we were delighted to find popcorn on all the tables and the waitstaff dressed in superhero uniforms ready to take our orders.
The theater was a wooden, old west type of place. The kids enjoyed HUGE hot fudge sundaes while watching, quite honestly, the best local theater we have ever seen.
What a BLAST the entire experience was. The kids absolutely loved the play.
Here is a link to the play description: http://www.thegaslighttheatre.com/currentshow.htm
We think we might turn in to regulars at the Gaslight Theater!!
