Oh I miss the simple days of Kayla and Emmy. I love my life and my family but there was a beautiful short period of time where my days revolved around these two
beautiful little girls. I miss that time deeply but I'm so grateful that they still have eachother. Kayla looks forward to another long summer visit with Emmy next year.
Emmy is one of the smartest, sweetest most giving girls I know and she gives Kayla a sense of peace and belonging whenever they are together.

Robin, how I love this post and it resonates within me. I feel the same! No matter what happens in Emmy's life - Kayla is always a part of her thoughts and dreams. I love their phone calls. Ryan was home today while Em and Kayla were chatting and he said "Is she always like this on the phone?" And I said, "Only with Kayla." Please tell Kayla how special she is to ALL of the Van Horns.
